Lauren Velasco

Lauren Velasco has been a mover her whole life. Beginning at the age of 4, she has two decades of dance training and experience under her belt. At the young age of 14, she found her passion for teaching.

Lauren graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Adolescents, Community, and Education. Lauren was introduced to Master Teacher and Director of Fletcher Pilates, Kyria Sabin, during her time attending the school of dance. Lauren “caught the bug” and has since gone on to become a Comprehensively Educated Fletcher Pilates Teacher.

When Lauren is not teaching or working towards her Fletcher Pilates Professional Teacher Certification, you will find her on the other side of your emails, as she is the current Fletcher Pilates School Manager. Lauren has recently accepted a position at the University of Arizona as Adjunct Faculty, where she teaches Mat Pilates classes for the University of Arizona’s School of Dance. Lauren also enjoys engaging in things such as country swing and line dancing, weight training, running, watching American Football on Sundays, and ranking chai tea lattes in her area.
