Becoming a Fletcher Pilates Teacher is a meaningful and transformative experience. The Comprehensive Program of Study is made up of eight Intensives and is designed to support you step by step as you deepen your understanding of the Pilates method, develop your teaching voice, and learn the distinctive qualities of the Fletcher lineage. Whether you’re beginning with Matwork or working toward full Professional designation, the Fletcher Program of Study offers a thoughtful progression of Intensives, mentorship, and evaluation — all created to help you grow with clarity, confidence, and connection to the lineage.

Program Pathway
Your Path Through the Program of Study
The Fletcher Pilates Comprehensive Program of Study is a layered journey through the movement principles, teaching methodologies, and lineage of Ron Fletcher. Each step builds upon the last — deepening your understanding, expanding your technical knowledge, and refining your teaching voice.
STEP 1: Begin with the Matwork Intensive
Your journey begins with the Matwork Intensive, which includes the complete Fletcher Foundations Course and Magic Circle curriculum. This experience introduces you to the Foundations of the Fletcher lineage and prepares you to continue your studies with clarity and confidence. After completing the Matwork Intensive and the Online Matwork Evaluations, you will earn the title of Fletcher Pilates Matwork Teacher — your first professional milestone. This Intensive is offered throughout the year in online, in-person, and hybrid formats, giving you multiple entry point options into the Program of Study.
STEP 2: Explore the Intensives That Support Your Growth
Once you’ve completed the Matwork Intensive, you may continue your education through any of the Fletcher Pilates Intensives. Many students choose to begin with Reformer I, Chair, Cadillac, or Barrels.
There is no required order beyond the Matwork Intensive prerequisite, allowing you to build a path around your schedule, availability, and goals. Once you have successfully complete the required apparatus Intensives and evaluations, you will earn the designation of Fletcher Pilates Qualified Teacher.
STEP 3: Advance Toward Your Professional Teacher Diploma
As your study deepens, you may choose to participate in additional Intensives aligned with your interests and teaching goals. Students may take any Intensive at any time, provided they meet that course’s individual prerequisites (for example, Advanced Reformer requires Reformer I). Once you’ve completed all eight Intensives in the Program of Study — along with required evaluations and hours — you will earn the distinction of Fletcher Pilates Professional Teacher.

Fletcher Pilates Intensives are offered throughout the year in a variety of formats, giving you the flexibility to build your Program of Study around your schedule, interests, and learning style.
Scholarship Opportunities
Fletcher Pilates® offers two scholarship pathways designed to make high-quality Pilates education more accessible while honoring the diversity of students entering the Program of Study.
Bridge Scholarship
For individuals who have completed a 450+ hour comprehensive Pilates program outside the Fletcher lineage.
Student Scholarship
For full-time students enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
NPCP Certification Preparation
The Fletcher Pilates Comprehensive Program of Study also for broader professional standards.
- Completing the Matwork Intensive prepares students for the NPCP Mat Certification Exam.
- Completing the Qualified Teacher pathway prepares students for the NPCP Comprehensive Certification Exam.
The NPCP is an independent credentialing organization. The structure and rigor of the Fletcher Pilates curriculum supports students in meeting the professional expectations of the wider Pilates industry.
