Brianna Jahn Malinowski

Brianna Jahn, Professional Fletcher Pilates Teacher, Associate Professor, and Dance Program Coordinator at The University of Southern Mississippi, earned her B.F.A. in Dance from SUNY Buffalo, and M.F.A. in Dance and Certificate in College Teaching from the University of Arizona. First trained in matwork in 2010, Jahn expanded her understanding of Pilates through the Fletcher Comprehensive and Professional Programs completed in 2016 while on faculty at the Fletcher Pilates Studio (formerly Body Works Pilates) in Tucson, AZ. She joined the Fletcher Faculty in 2024 developing a matwork satellite teacher training program integrated with her university teaching. Jahn performed professionally with Hub Dance Collective, Configuration Dance Theatre, and Converge Dance Buffalo, and has presented work at the Alabama Dance Festival, COASTdance Fest, Breaking Ground Festival, and for other invited opportunities in the U.S. and Mexico. Choreographic highlights include “I See You” an evening length concert exploring choreographic portraiture, “Self Portrait no. 2” commissioned for the “When There Are Nine” visual artists reception in Canton, MI, “Guys and Dolls”, “Cabaret”, and “SLIDE”, a collaborative work with visual artist Mary McDonnell. At USM, she regularly teaches jazz, modern, and ballet dance techniques, choreography, music analysis, experiential anatomy, and conditioning for dancers.
